What does True Athlete ZMA with Theanine do?

This is our True Athlete ZMA with Theanine review, a ZMA with claims to promote:

  • Testosterone
  • Sleep
  • Recovery
  • Strength

But how well will it work for you?

In this review, we look closer at this supplement to see how effective it really is.

This is what we’ve found…

Editor’s Note:

This supplement is being assessed on it’s means to promote testosterone.

ZMA’s have various uses, but here that is all we are concerned with. If you are looking to use this supplement for other reasons, this may not be the review for you.

Thank you.

What you need to know about the True Athlete ZMA with Theanine ingredients:

It’s your standard ZMA with a little extra.

If you’re looking to use this supplement as a testosterone booster – it may not be what you’re looking for.

Below, we look closer at the main ingredients in True Athlete ZMA with Theanine along with our summary and suggestions on how to improve it.

This is what you need to know:true-athlete-zma-with-theanine-side-effects

Zinc

This is a great start to True Athlete ZMA with Theanine.

Zinc is a mineral which has solid links to promoting testosterone levels.

So, how does it work?

After your body absorbs Zinc, it can help to promote your overall levels of the Luteinizing Hormone (LH). LH is your body’s precursor to both growth hormone and testosterone. The more of it you have in your system, the more support your testosterone levels have to rise.

It’s a great addition to this supplement.

Magnesium

This is a good option in True Athlete ZMA with Theanine too.

Magnesium helps with free testosterone and sleep quality.

How does it help with testosterone?

It works with a protein in your blood known as Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG).

SHBG is a protein in your blood that binds to your testosterone and removes its anabolic potency. This is what makes it work – without that potency, it is useless.

Magnesium helps by binding with the SHBG and reducing its overall influence. This allows you to have more testosterone circulating through your system and available for you to use.

Magnesium can also help with sleep by reducing impulses throughout your muscles while you sleep. This can help to reduce twitches and help you to stay sleeping for longer.

Theanine

This is an amino acid in True Athlete ZMA with Theanine which doesn’t help with testosterone, but it can help in other ways.

L-Theanine is mainly in herbs like Green Tea, and it can help promote the relaxation hormones in your body like dopamine, GABA and serotonin.

This can help you be more focused, but also help you get into the right state of mind if you’re looking for a long sleep.true-athlete-zma-with-theanine-results

Nutrient Profile Overview:

On the whole, True Athlete ZMA with Theanine does have some good ingredients for a ZMA.

However, if you’re looking for an effective testosterone booster more could be added to this supplement.

What would help True Athlete ZMA with Theanine?

Although this would techincally stop it from being a ZMA, we feel Vitamin D3, D-Aspartic Acid, Fenugreek and Ginseng would help a lot in this supplement.

Vitamin D3 would be a great option in True Athlete ZMA with Theanine. It’s technically a hormone. When your body absorsb it, it has been seen to help promote your overall levels of testosterone, bone health and general bodily functions.

Most people don’t get enough D3 throughout the day, because your body absorbs it via the skin from sunlight. Supplementing it can help fight this deficiency and help support your testosterone levels.

D-Aspartic Acid works in a similar way to Zinc. It too is used to create the Luteinizing Hormone. The more LH you have in your system, the more support your body has to improve growth hormone and testosterone.

Whereas Fenugreek and Ginseng help your libido, and testosterone. They can help regulate your blood sugar and insulin levels.

High insulin levels can reduce your overall testosterone levels. This is due to a hormonal balancing process in your body known as homeostasis, the more you have of one hormone, the less you have of another. By using something like Fenugreek to control insulin, your testosterone has more support to rise.

It’s a shame more ingredients like this are not in this supplement.

True Athlete ZMA with Theanine Side Effects – Are there any?

Not that we can see, all the ingredients in here are completely natural and safe.

You shouldn’t have any problems, especially at these dosages.

However, we cannot speak for everyone. If you have any concerns, you should always speak to your doctor before using it.

How effectively balanced are the servings in True Athlete ZMA with Theanine?

There’s only one serving a day. Which isn’t the best if you’re looking for maximum testosterone support.

Why?

Because a typical serving only lasts for a few hours. This means you may not be getting enough to keep you going for a full day.

Ideally, what you need is a testosterone booster that has 3 – 4 servings a day. This can give your body that constant supply to keep your testosterone levels on the rise for as long as possible.

It may be better if it could work like this.

Is this the best Testosterone Booster?

No. There’s better:

We review an endless amount of testosterone boosters every month searching for the most effective one on the market.

We look for supplements that deliver:

  • Effective Testosterone Production
  • 100% Natural Ingredients
  • Increases in Overall Free Testosterone
  • Noticeable Strength Boosts
  • More Energy
  • Enhanced Mood and Sex Drive
  • Faster Recovery and Muscle Growth
  • Value for Money
  • Results

True Athlete ZMA with Theanine Review Summary – Is it effective?

Overall, this is not the best supplement that we can see for boosting your testosterone levels.

From our True Athlete ZMA with Theanine review, this is what you need to know:

  1. Missing Core Nutrients – More study backed testosterone boosters could be added to this supplement.
  2. Servings Could Be Improved – One a day may not be enough for effective testosterone boosting.
  3. Good ZMA – This is not a great testosterone booster, but it you’re just after Zinc and Magnesium it may work well.

Muxcle’s Verdict:

As you can see, this isn’t the best supplement that we would suggest adding to your stack for testosterone.
