What does SNAC ZMA-5 do?
This is our SNAC ZMA-5 review, a ZMA which has been claimed to promote:
- Testosterone
- Muscle Mass
- Recovery
But how well will it work for you?
In this review, we look closer at this supplement to see how effective it really is.
This is what we’ve found:
What you need to know about the SNAC ZMA-5 ingredients:
Unlike most ZMA’s there’s more than just Zinc and Magnesium here.
This is a good sign, it’ll give your more support than what you’ll get with the usual ZMA.
We like it as a ZMA, but we think more could be added to it if you want to boost your testosterone levels.
Below, we’ve written up the main ingredients in this ZMA followed by our summary and suggestions on how it could be improved.
This is what you need to know:
Vitamin B6
This is more of a supporting ingredient in SNAC ZMA-5. It won’t help testosterone, but it could help in other ways.
Vitamin B6 is an essential vitamin to your diet, and is used for general health benefits. If you’re already getting a healthy diet, chances are you don’t need any more B6.
That said, adding a bit extra to your diet couldn’t hurt. B6 can help to promote energy levels, your immune system and metabolism.
It’s a nice supporting ingredient in this supplement.
Vitamin B9
Also known as Folic Acid, B9 is another vitamin in SNAC ZMA-5 that won’t make much difference to your overall testosterone. Again, this is a general health support.
So, what does it do?
Similar to B6, B9 helps with you basic health functions. Energy, metabolism, the immune system and general processes that keep you going.
You’re not going to notice much benefit from this nutrient.
Magnesium
This is a much better option in SNAC ZMA-5.
Magnesium is a great mineral in this supplement when it comes to promoting free testosterone.
How?
It all comes down to how this mineral works with a protein in your blood stream known as Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG).
This is a protein that binds to the testosterone in your system and strips it of any anabolic potency. Unfortunately, this makes the affected testosterone useless.
Magnesium helps to prevent this by binding with the SHBG instead of your testosterone. In doing so, more testosterone can flow freely through your system without suffering major losses.
It’s a good ingredient in this supplement.
Zinc
This is also a fantastic mineral in SNAC ZMA-5. Zinc is great for testosterone production.
So, how does it work?
Zinc is used in your body for numerous functions, but it’s the reactions that it is used for in your brain which matters most.
These chemical reactions use Zinc to help create the Luteinizing Hormone (LH). LH is your body’s precursor to both growth hormone and testosterone – the more LH you have the more support your overall testosterone has.
5-HTP
This is a nice addition to this ZMA. 5-HTP is a reliable supporting ingredient in SNAC ZMA-5.
Once absorbed by your body, 5-HTP works as the precursor to serotonin. That’s the ‘feel-good’ or ‘happiness hormone’ in your brain.
It’s good for focus, well-being and in some cases, muscle recovery. A refreshing change to some of the more basic ZMA’s you come across on the market.
Bioperine
The finishing touch to SNAC ZMA-5. Bioperine is essentially black pepper.
It doesn’t help testosterone levels or muscle mass, but it’s good for absorption.
This can help you to get more out of the nutrients in this ZMA than you would usually by making your body more open to absorbing it.
A nice supporting ingredient to this product.
Nutrient Profile Overview:
On the whole, SNAC ZMA-5 is a great ZMA, but not a great testosterone booster.
If you’re looking for some general support, this is the choice for you. However, if you want to effectively boost your testosterone levels, you may need a lot more support.
For that, you’d need a good natural testosterone booster.
Why a Testosterone Booster Beats a ZMA:
It all comes down to the ingredients, a ZMA is typically Zinc, Magnesium and a few extras.
A good testosterone booster has Zinc, Magnesium, Vitamin D3, D-Aspartic Acid, Fenugreek, Red Ginseng, Oyster Extract and more.
Vitamin D3 is technically a hormone that most people don’t get enough of. That’s because we absorb it from the sun’s rays. It has links to improving testosterone, general health and bone density.
D-Aspartic Acid is similar to Zinc in the fact that it helps to create the Luteinizing Hormone. This means it can help improve testosterone and growth hormone.
Fenugreek helps libido and testosterone, and does so by regulating your blood sugar. This is important as it can help lower your insulin levels. Insulin can reduce your testosterone levels via a hormonal balancing act in your body known as homeostasis. Controlling your insulin supports your test.
We could go on, but you get the idea. There’s a lot more that a T-booster can do for you.

SNAC ZMA-5 Side Effects – Are there any?
Not that we’ve noticed. All the ingredients in here are completely safe.
They’re all natural and haven’t been linked to causing any side effects at the recommended dose.
If you’re still concerned, you should speak to your doctor before using it.
How effectively balanced are the servings in SNAC ZMA-5?
There’s only one serving a day, so it could be better?
How?
Well, with one serving a day, you’re only getting a few hours of benefit each day.
Ideally, you want to give your body constant support so your testosterone levels can remain on the rise.
You should be looking for a supplement that has 3 – 4 servings a day. This would give you that regular supply to keep them on the rise and supported.
It’s a shame that this isn’t balanced to work like that.
Is this your best option for raising Testosterone?

SNAC ZMA-5 Review Summary – Is it effective?
Overall, this is great ZMA, but a weak testosterone booster.
From our SNAC ZMA-5 review, this is what you need to know:
- Missing Core Nutrients – More study-backed testosterone boosters would help this product.
- Servings Need Improving – One a day may not be enough for effective T-Boosting.
- Good ZMA, Weak Testosterone Booster – More needs to be added for this to do more than the basics.
Muxcle’s Verdict:
As you can see, this is a nice ZMA, but not your best option if you’re looking to raise your testosterone.
