What does BodyAthlon ZMA do?

This is our BodyAthlon ZMA review, a ZMA supplement claimed to promote:

  • Recovery
  • Muscle Mass
  • Testosterone
  • Energy

But how well will it work for you?

In this review, we look closer at this supplement to see how effective it really is.

This is what we’ve found:

What you need to know about the BodyAthlon ZMA ingredients:

It’s your basic ZMA supplement, and contains the obvious.

This makes it a fine choice if you’re just looking for general support. However, if you want to effectively boost your testosterone, we suggest you look into a testosterone booster.

Below, we’ve written up the ingredients in this supplement and how they may help you raise your T.

This is what you need to know:bodyathlon-zma-side-effects

Magnesium

The first ingredient in BodyAthlon ZMA, and puts the ‘MA’ in ZMA.

Magnesium is a great nutrient for increasing free testosterone – and it’s interesting how it works.

It’s all about how this mineral interacts with a protein in your blood known as Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG).

Naturally, your SHBG typically binds to the free flowing testosterone in your blood stream. In doing so, it removes the anabolic potency from your testosterone. This is bad, and essentially makes the hormone unusable.

What Magnesium can do is take the place of your testosterone in the procedure. It binds to the SHBG instead. In doing so, your testosterone remains unaffected, allowing more of it to flow through your blood stream.

It’s a great nutrient in any testosterone booster, and one of the best minerals for the job.

Zinc

And of course, what ZMA would be complete without Zinc?

This is, obviously a good choice in BodyAthlon ZMA and essentially the other half of the supplement.

But what makes it so effective? It help to produce testosterone.

Zinc is used by your body for numerous functions, but it’s in the brain where it can help you on a hormonal level.

Once absorbed, Zinc is used by your brain for numerous chemical reactions to help create the Luteinizing Hormone (LH). This is your body’s precursor to both growth hormone and testosterone.

The more LH you have in your system, the more support your body has to make testosterone. It’s a great addition to this supplement.

Vitamin B6

This is a nice addition to BodyAthlon ZMA, it doesn’t help testoterone but it can benefit you in other ways.

Vitamin B6 is good for general health. It helps with basic bodily functions and can improve energy levels, your immune system and metabolism.

It’s a nice supporting ingredient to have onside in this ZMA.bodyathlon-zma-results

Nutrient Profile Overview:

On the whole, BodyAthlon ZMA is a basic ZMA supplement.

It contains Zinc, Magnesium and Vitamin B6. If you’re looking for general support, this is a fine and affordable choice.

However, if you want to effectively raise your testosterone levels, you’ll want to be looking for a bit more. A natural testosterone booster could be just what you need.

A good one typically has a range of vitamins, nutrients and minerals that will give your T-levels exactly what they need to grow.

What a Testosterone Booster has that a ZMA doesn’t:

The best testosterone boosters usually contain ingredients such as Vitamin D3, D-Aspartic Acid, Fenugreek, Red Ginseng, Boron, Oyster Extract and of course, Zinc and Magnesium.

Vitamin D3 is a great example of an effective testosterone booster. It’s technically a hormone. Most people don’t get enough of this nutrient as your body absorbs it via your skin from the sun’s rays. Supplementing it has been seen in studies to help boost testosterone, bone health and support essential functions in your body.

Whereas D-Aspartic Acid helps support Zinc. It too, is also used in chemical reactions in your brain to create the Luteinizing Hormone. Making it great for improving growth hormone and testosterone.

Whereas Fenugreek can help regulate your blood sugar and insulin levels. Insulin is a hormone, and keeping it under control helps your testosterone. Through a hormonal balancing act your body performs known as homeostasis, the more you have of one hormone the less you have of another. By keeping your insulin lower, your Testosterone has more support to rise.

It’s a shame that more ingredients like this can’t be found in a ZMA.

BodyAthlon ZMA Side Effects – Is it safe?

We don’t think so. This is a small nutrient profile of natural vitamins and minerals.

You shouldn’t run into any side effects from supplementing this ZMA. We haven’t heard any reports of it causing trouble.

That said, if you are concerned. We suggest speaking to your doctor before taking it.

You’re unlikely to have an issue.

How effectively balanced are the servings in BodyAthlon ZMA?

There’s only one a day, so it could be a lot better.

The problem with having only one serving a day is that your body is only getting the benefit for a few hours over a 24 hour period. It’s just not enough.

Ideally, what you need is a testosterone booster that has 3 – 4 servings a day. This gives your body a regular top-ups throughout the day which helps to keep your testosterone levels on the rise.

It’s unfortunate that this supplement isn’t set up to work like that.

Is this your best option for raising Testosterone?

No. There’s better:

We review an endless amount of supplements for raising testosterone every month, searching for the most effective option on the market.

We look for supplements that deliver:

  • Effective Testosterone Production
  • 100% Natural Ingredients
  • Increases in Overall Free Testosterone
  • Noticeable Strength Boosts
  • More Energy
  • Enhanced Mood and Sex Drive
  • Faster Recovery and Muscle Growth
  • Value for Money
  • Results

BodyAthlon ZMA Review Summary – Is it effective?

Overall, this is a basic ZMA, however, it isn’t your best option if you want to boost testosterone.

From our BodyAthlon ZMA review, this is what you need to know:

  1. Missing Core Nutrients – More study backed ingredients would make this supplement significantly help your testosterone.
  2. Servings Could Be Improved – One serving a day may not be enough for maximum testosterone growth.
  3. Good ZMA, Weak Testosterone Booster – Zinc and Magnesium may not be enough on their own to effectively boost your testosterone.

Muxcle’s Verdict:

As you can see, this isn’t a supplement we would recommend adding to your stack if you want to boost your T.
