Ingredients: What is in Nighttime Burn?
There are some great options in here for rest and sleep, however, the same can’t be said for fat loss.
Before we get into that, we first need to acknowledge that it’s all proprietary blends.
Proprietary blends is when a supplement manufacturer chooses to hide the individual dosages of the ingredients in their product.
You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting, so it’s hard to know how effective it really is.
Below, we look closer at the ingredients in Her Nighttime Burn along with our summary and suggestions on how to improve it.
This is what you need to know:
This is a great start to NLA for Her Nighttime Burn. However we do have some mild concerns.
Melatonin is a naturally occurring hormone in your body that helps to regulate sleep. By improving these levels, it can be a lot easier for you to fall asleep.
Although it’s a good option, we would like to know the source of the Melatonin. Supplement manufacturers sometimes choose to use artificial melatonin because it’s cheaper. It’s not natural or as potent as the real thing.
We’re not sure if it is natural in here. You can commonly find natural melatonin in foods like tart cherries.
This is another ingredient which is good in theory, but may not work in practice in Her Nighttime Burn.
It’s a relaxation hormone in your body which can help reduce anxiety and promote focus.
This would be a good option in this nootropic, however, supplementing it may not be that effective.
Research shows GABA can be hard to absorb when orally supplemented. It may not be the best option in this fat burner.
Passion Flower & Chamomile Root
These are other nutrients in NLA for Her which helps with sleep.
Passion Flower and Chamomile Root are both nutrients which contain apigenin. This is a component which can help reduce anxiety and promote relaxation.
In doing so, it can help you get into a better mindset which promotes sleep.
It’s a nice touch in this supplement.
This isn’t the best option in Her Nighttime Burn. It doesn’t promote sleep, and technically doesn’t help fat loss.
So, what does it do?
It strips water weight. Dandelion root is a diuretic. This means it can help reduce your overall weight by making you excrete excess water.
You’ll be lighter, but technically, you haven’t lost any fat. Your body has just lost more water. It’s a very short-term result.
When taking a diuretic, you want to make sure you’re drinking more too. Mild dehydration can be a risk.
This is a better option in NLA for Her’s supplement. Although L-Tryptophan does not help with fat loss – it can help in other ways.
Supplementing L-Tryptophan is good because your body can absorb it, and turn it into melatonin inside you. This can help improve your overall natural levels of the sleep regulating hormone, which dramatically improves sleep.
This is another ingredient that won’t do much for your fat loss, but can help you with sleep.
Also known as Velvet Bean, Mucuna Pruriens can help with rest and sleep.
It contains high amounts of L-Dopa, which can promote hormones in your body such as Dopamine and Serotonin. Mucuna can also help to reduce your levels of the stress hormone cortisol.
Combined, this can help put you more at ease, and in a better mindset for sleep.
This may help in Nighttime Burn from NLA for Her, but only in a very mild way.
Glutamine is an amino acid that is commonly found in the standard diet. You can find it meat, dairy, nuts and yogurt – all in high amounts.
So, what can it do for you?
Glutamine has been seen in studies to help reduce sugar cravings. However, this is only if you have a deficiency in it.
With it being so common, it’s unlikely that you’ll get a lot of benefit from this nutrient.
This is more of a cognitive enhancer in NLA for Her’s Nighttime Burn.
There’s some evidence that it can help improve focus and memory, and other cases where it can help power output.
It’s better suited to a pre-workout, but keeping your mind sharp won’t do you any harm here.
We think this is a nice support in this supplement, although with the benefits it brings, it appears to be slightly misguided for this type of supplement.
CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid)
Not a strong option in this supplement. CLA is supposedly a stimulant-free fat burner.
It is thought to have an impact on certain fat burning receptors in your brain. However, studies show that although there is some kind of impact, it is barely enough to be noticeable.
You’re unlikely to get much benefit from this ingredient.
Acetyl L Carnitine
This is a better option in NLA for Her Nighttime Burn. However, we are unsure about the dosage in here.
It’s an amino acid that can help to promote energy, metabolism and focus. By boosting your metabolism, this amino acid can help a lot with fat loss.
However, studies show that for it to be effective you need daily doses of this amino acid at ranges between 500 – 2500mg. With this being in a small proprietary blend of 20mg, we doubt it will hold much of an effect.
This isn’t a fat burner in this supplement, but it should help with sleep.
Ashwagandha is another herb that can reduce your overall levels of cortisol. In doing so it can decrease your stress levels, and put you in a more relaxed mindset. This can help create a better mental environment for a sound an effective sleep.
This is another good addition for sleep in this nighttime supplement.
5-HTP is a nutrient that your body uses as a precursor for serotonin. The more serotonin you have in your system, the more relaxed you are throughout the day.
This can help you have higher levels of relaxation and calmness which can help you sleep easier at night.
It’s good for helping with rest and recovery after a hard day training.
This is a great addition to this supplement, it doesn’t help with sleep or fat loss – but it is very effective for cognition.
There are numerous studies which show how effective this nutrient is for cognition in many ways. Phosphatidylserine has been seen to help mood, memory, focus and prevent cognitive decline.
It works well in this supplement.
Nutrient Profile Overview:
There are some great sleep-promoting ingredients in this supplement. However, we’re not so convinced when it comes to the fat burning process.
More thermogenics and appetite suppressants would help a lot here. There are many fat burners out there which don’t require stimulants which can work well for fat loss.
It would also help removing the proprietary blend. With a proprietary blend, you don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting or how effective it will be overall.
There are several improvements which could help.
What would help improve Her Nighttime Burn?
Getting rid of the proprietary blend, the lack of transparency stops you knowing how good the supplement actually is.
Adding more thermogenics would make the most difference, decaffeinated Green Tea, Green Coffee Bean and Cayenne Pepper would help here.
Let’s look at these in more detail:
Decaffeinated Green Tea
This would work well in this supplement. Green Tea is a nutrient that works well for fat loss.
It contains a specific kind of anti-oxidant known as catechins. Catechins help to promote your body’s levels of the fat burning hormone norepinephrine.
The more norepinephrine you have in your body, the more fat you burn throughout the day.
As an added bonus, Green Tea also contains a small amount of L-Theanine which can help with focus. Any fat burner would benefit from it.
Green Coffee Bean
This would be an effective option in this supplement too. Green Coffee Bean is a reliable thermogenic.
So, why would it work in NLA for Her’s supplement?
It’s a non-caffeinated herb which can help reduce the glucose in your liver. This is good for fat loss as your body uses that glucose for energy. Without it, it has to burn stored fat to make up the difference. This is great for burning more fat in a shorter period of time.
Another ingredient that would work well in Nighttime Burn. Cayenne Pepper is a good option for both fat loss and appetite suppression.
It contains Capsicum which is what gives the chili its heat. In doing so, it increases your body’s core temperature which makes your body start a cool down process. This cooling process uses more energy that your body does normally, your body has to burn stored fat to make up the difference.
Not only that, but there are also links to Cayenne Pepper helping with appetite suppression. This can help you stay on your diet and not have hunger pangs through the night.
It would be better if more ingredients like this were in this supplement.
Safety Check: Are there any side effects in Her Nighttime Burn?
We find it very unlikely. Although there are some proprietary blends in here, none of the ingredients have links to causing side effects at these dosages.
You shouldn’t experience any problems.
That said, we cannot speak for everyone. If you have any concerns you should speak to your doctor before supplementing it.
Directions: What are the servings like?
As this is a nighttime supplement, you’re directed by NLA for Her to take it 30 – 45 minutes before bed.
This is the way things go for night products, however, we don’t think it’s the best way for fat loss.
Ideally, you should be looking for a fat burner which has 3 – 4 servings a day. This gives your body a constant supply of the nutrients you need to keep you burning fat day long.
It’s unfortunate that this supplement is not set up to work like this.

This is a good supplement for helping with getting yourself to sleep – but there are much better fat burners out there.
From our Her Nighttime Burn review, this is what you need to know:
- Proprietary Blend – You don’t know the dosages of the ingredients in this supplement, or how effective they’ll be overall.
- Missing Core Nutrients – More study-backed thermogenics could be added to this supplement.
- Under-Dosed in Some Places – Dosages could be higher in places, the L-Carnitine in here could definitely benefit from having more added.
As you can see, this is a good supplement for promoting sleep, but it may not be the best fat burner to add to your stack.
