Intro: What does this supplement do?
This is our review of T5X Extreme, which is a testosterone booster by Muscle Force. It has claims to help promote:
- Energy
- Testosterone
- Muscle Mass
- Sex Drive

But how well will it work for you?
Here, we look closer at the main components of this supplement considering the ingredients, servings and generally how safe it is.
This is what we’ve found…
Ingredients: How are T5X Extreme’s ingredients looking?
Confusing. It’s one enormous proprietary blend. If you’re unsure of what a proprietary blend is, we’ll try our best to explain it:
A proprietary blend is when a supplement manufacturer doesn’t want you to know the individual dosages of the ingredients used in their product. To avoid this, they group all the ingredients together under one or two larger dosages.
This means you don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting or how effective it really is.
There’s a lack of transparency which makes it harder to trust the supplement. That said, there are still some good choices in here.
Below, we take a better look at the main ingredients in T5X Extreme along with our summary and suggestions on how it could be better.
Take a look:

Magnesium
This is a great mineral to have in T5X Extreme. Magnesium doesn’t help you to produce more testosterone, but it can make the testosterone you have be more available to you.
What do we mean by that?
In your blood stream you have a certain amount of testosterone that is readily available. This is known as your ‘free testosterone’.
However, there are certain factors that reduce the overall amount. A protein in your blood known as Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) binds to your free testosterone and removes its anabolic potency. This makes the affected testosterone useless.
Magnesium helps by binding to the SHBG in your blood and reducing the overall effect of the protein. This allows for more testosterone to circulate in your system unaffected and be readily available to you.
It’s a great addition in here.
Zinc
Likewise, Zinc is another useful mineral for testosterone. However, this ingredient helps with your actual production of testosterone.
This allows your body to produce more testosterone than it would do normally.
So, how does Zinc do this in T5X Extreme?
Your body has numerous uses for Zinc when you supplement it, but for testosterone, the main benefits occur in your brain.
Zinc is used for multiple chemical reactions in your brain which help to promote your body’s levels of the Luteinizing Hormone (LH). This is your body’s precursor to both growth hormone and testosterone. The more you have in your system, the more your body can create testosterone.
Tribulus
This however is not a good ingredient that we’re seeing in this supplement from Muscle Force.
Tribulus Terrestris is one of the worst ingredients for testosterone boosters on the market. It is over-hyped and doesn’t have the research to support the claims made about it.
The only studies where it has been seen to help testosterone are in rats. Similar benefits have never been seen in human studies.
The only the way it may help you is by giving you a mild boost in your sex drive and libido. Aside from that, you’re unlikely to notice much benefit.
If you’re interested in learning more about Tribulus and other weaker ingredients in the testosterone booster industry, you should definitely read our report on the worst choices in the link below:
All the information you’ll need, complete with studies, is in there.
Fenugreek
This is a much better option in this testosterone booster. We’re big fans of Fenugreek.
It may not boost testosterone directly, but it still has plently of advantages that shouldn’t be ignored. The main way it can help you is by regulating your blood sugar.
Why is this a big deal that it’s in T5X Extreme?
Because this can also help to regulate your insulin, and your insulin can influence your testosterone.
This is down to a process in your body known as homeostasis, essentially, the more you have of one hormone the less you have of another. It’s how your body balances itself internally. In this case, the more insulin you have, the less testosterone.
By using something like Fenugreek to keep your insulin levels under control, your testosterone has a better environment to grow in.
Chrysin
Not a great choice in this supplement, mainly due to what the studies are saying about Chrysin.
There’s no evidence of it raising testosterone levels when orally supplemented. Taking it the standard way you would any other supplement will not help your testosterone levels when it comes to Chrysin.
So, when does it work?
There’s only one study which shows Chrysin to boost testosterone, and that was when it was injected directly into a subject’s testes. No study has shown it to work any other way. We don’t think it will help you in T5X Extreme.
Red Clover
This is a more interesting choice, but still not an effective one.
What makes Red Clover interesting? It isn’t usually used in testosterone boosters.
Red Clover is typically used to help women deal with the symptoms of menopause. The idea for this being in T5X Extreme is that it may help to reduce and manage estrogen levels. However, the only benefits Red Clover may be able to deliver according to studies is reducing hot flushes.
You’re unlikely to get much from it in this supplement.
Longjack
Also known as Eurycoma Longifolia or Tongkat Ali. No matter what you call it, it’s not that effective.
So what can it do in this supplement from Muscle Force?
Longjack is thought to help boost your testosterone when you supplement it. However, studies show that this has only been seen to work in rat studies – it doesn’t scale up to humans.
This the same problems that Tribulus has. The only benefit that Longjack has been seen to provide is a boost in sex drive and libido, in some cases it may even help as a pro-erectile.
However, as a testosterone booster, it’s not a strong choice. It would be better in a male enhancement supplement.
DIM
This ingredient has some promise, but there isn’t enough evidence to confirm that it works.
DIM is a component that is found in green vegetables like broccoli. There is some suggestion that it may work as an aromatase inhibitor.
An aromatase inhibitor is essentially an estrogen suppressant. Using one can help lower your overall levels of the female hormone allowing your testosterone to have more of an impact.
It would be great if it works, however, there’s no studies to prove this, however researchers are saying that the results are looking promising.
More data is needed to know for sure.
Saw Palmetto
This is more of a supporting ingredient for male health in Muscle Force’s T5X Extreme.
Saw Palmetto is a berry which studies show can reduce the symptoms of hyperplasia. Hyperplasia is the medical term for an enlarged prostate.
It is not as effective as actual medicine, and shouldn’t be used as such, however it is a nice natural support. Should also help improve your overall prostate health.
L-Arginine
This is an amino acid in T5X Extreme, and honestly, there could’ve been better choices made over it.
What makes us say this?
L-Arginine has claims that it can help promote blood flow which can help with nutrient flow and muscle pumps. However, studies show it is difficult for your body to absorb if you orally supplement it.
Ideally, you should be taking a precursor to this ingredient for you to get the benefits. Citrulline is a good option, it’s easy for your body to absorb coverts into L-Arginine after the fact.
Taking L-Arginine directly is unlikely to give you much of an advantage.

Overview: Nutrient Profile
There are several problems with the ingredients in this testosterone booster. The first being the proprietary blend.
As we’ve mentioned with a proprietary blend you don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting. So how can you know if you’re getting a fair dose of each one in T5X Extreme? It’s difficult to tell.
However, it isn’t all bad, we were impressed with the following ingredients:
- Magnesium
- Zinc
- Fenugreek
- DIM (Potentially with further study)
Whereas some of the other ingredients definitely didn’t meet our standards:
- Tribulus – No human studies showing it raises testosterone.
- Chrysin – Only works when injected into the testes.
- Red Clover – No evidence for it boosting testosterone. Seems to only help with hot flushes during the menopause.
- Longjack – No evidence for human testosterone boosting, but may help as a libido enhancer.
- L-Arginine – Difficult for your body to absorb orally.
This all poses problems. However, we think Muscle Foce can make a few changes that would really help.
How could T5X Extreme be better?
Remove the proprietary blend and the weaker ingredients from this huge ingredient profile.
Also adding Vitamin D3, D-Aspartic Acid, Boron and Stinging Nettle would help. Let’s look at why:
Vitamin D3
It’s not a vitamin, technically it’s a hormone. Not only that it’s a hormone that not enough people get enough of and is directly linked to promoting testosterone levels.
Most people don’t get their optimum amount of D3 because your body absorbs it through your skin via the sun’s rays. Through spending most of our time indoors or living in colder climates, many people don’t get their full amount.
By restoring that balance you can help improve your general health and even give your testosterone levels an added boost.
D-Aspartic Acid
This would be another good addition to this supplement. D-Aspartic Acid works in a similar way to Zinc by how it interacts in your brain.
It’s another ingredient that your brain uses for chemical reactions to release more Luteinizing Hormone (LH). In doing so it can increase your overall levels of growth hormone and testosterone.
It would definitely have a more of an impact than something like Tribulus.
Boron
We like Boron. There are some great studies out there for Boron and testosterone.
Research shows that supplementing Boron can help improve your testosterone levels while also reducing your estrogen levels. This is a win-win if you’re looking to build muscle, it creates a better hormonal environment for you and also boosts your testosterone.
You don’t need that much of it either, studies suggest that it is very potent.
Stinging Nettle
Finally, Stinging Nettle would also help as it has similar benefits to Magnesium. It can help raise free testosterone levels.
Stinging Nettle contains a component known as Beta-Sitosterol. This can inhibit Sex Hormone Binding Globulin, which as we’ve mentioned, is the protein that binds to your free testosterone.
Stinging Nettle, like Magnesium, can reduce the overall impact of the SHBG, allowing more testosterone to circulate freely throughout your system.
We would love to see more ingredients like it in this supplement.
Safety Check: Are there any side effects?
This may be a big, scary proprietary blend – but we can’t see it causing you any side effects.
Muscle Focus have used natural ingredients which are unlikely to give you any discomfort when you use this supplement.
However, we cannot speak for everyone. It’s not a perfect world so there’s always a chance things could go wrong. If you have any concerns or pre-existing conditions you should speak to your doctor before using this supplement.
Directions: How are the servings in T5X Extreme?
There’s two servings a day. This isn’t the best set-up but it’s not the worst out there.
What would make it better?
Typically a serving lasts for a few hours a day. This means with one you won’t get a full day’s coverage, the same goes for two servings. It’s unlikely to be enough.
You should be looking for a testosterone booster that has 3 – 4 servings a day. This can give you that regular supply that can keep your testosterone levels on the rise throughout the day and overnight.
We’d like this supplement more if it was set up to work like this.
Is this the best Testosterone Booster?
No. There’s better:

Review Summary: T5X Extreme by Muscle Force – Is it effective?
There’s definite work that needs doing to this testosterone booster before we can recommend it. The proprietary blend and some of the ingredients don’t look as good as they could.
Here’s a quick overview of the our concerns with T5X Extreme:
- Proprietary Blend – You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting or how effective it really is overall.
- Some Ineffective Ingredients – Not all ingredients in here have studies showing they can help testosterone.
- Missing Core Nutrients – As we’ve listed earlier, there are some ingredients that we feel would better for this supplement.
- Servings Could Be Higher – Two a day may not be enough for optimal testosterone boosting.
Muxcle’s Verdict:
As you can see, there are some good ingredients, but on the whole this isn’t a testosterone booster that we would recommend adding to your stack.
