What you need to know about the IGUAZU Nutrition SLUMBERFUL ingredients:
There are some effective choices in here for promoting sleep.
However, it seems that the majority of the ingredients are more for getting you in the right mood and mindset.
A few more things could definitely be added to this supplement.
Below, we look at the main ingredients in IGUAZU Nutrition SLUMBERFUL along with our summary and suggestions on how to improve it.
This is what you need to know:
Magnesium
This is a great start to IGUAZU Nutrition SLUMBERFUL, it doesn’t directly promote sleep but it can help in other ways.
Like how?
Aside from supporting various bodily functions, Magnesium can also help as a muscle relaxant.
It can reduce overall muscle twitches and spams you may experience during sleep. This is important as it can help stop you from waking yourself up with involuntary movements in the middle of the night.
It’s a great for helping you to get as much sleep as possible, after drifting off.
L-Theanine
This is another good choice in IGUAZU Nutrition SLUMBERFUL.
It’s an amino acid which numerous studies has shown works well for promoting dopamine, serotonin and GABA in your body.
These are the hormones that make you feel good.
More importantly, they can also help you get to sleep. Serotonin is converted by your body into Melatonin which is your body’s sleep regulating hormone. By increasing your Melatonin levels, it’s much easier for you to get to sleep.
Valerian Root
This is another good addition to IGUAZU Nutrition SLUMBERFUL, but it doesn’t promote sleep.
So, what does it do?
Studies show that Valerian doesn’t have any sedative qualities when supplemented – meaning it won’t help you get to sleep.
What it can do however, is help to reduce your anxiety levels and promote an overall levels of calmness.
This can help you get into a good mental state that can help you to get to sleep easier. Being much calmer, makes it easier for you to drift off to sleep.
It’s a nice supporting ingredient in this supplement.
Chamomile & Passion Flower
These are nutrients which is unlikely to promote sleep, but could help in other ways.
Chamomile and Passion Flower are both herbs that are used in nighttime teas which many believe help promote sleep.
However, this is not exactly the case. The reason these nutrients are associated with sleep is because they both contain Apigenin.
Apigenin can promote sleep, but only in very high doses. Research shows you need between 30 – 100mg per KG of body weight for it to have the effects of a sedative. A lot is needed for it to work this way.
However, much less is needed for it to help reduce anxiety and promote calmness.
Again, like many of the other ingredients in here, this is good for creating that mental state that works best for getting you to sleep.
Lemon Balm
This is another good support in IGUAZU Nutrition SLUMBERFUL.
Sadly however, this is another nutrient that does not promote sleep – but it can help in other ways.
Lemon Balm is thought to help promote calmness, cognition while reducing anxiety.
Unfortunately, studies show it doesn’t work so well for promoting cognition. However, there is a good amount of proof that it can help promote calmness and reduce anxiety.
This makes it another nutrient in this sleeping pill which can help put you in the right state of mind for a long and refreshing sleep.
Hops
This may be a better choice in IGUAZU Nutrition SLUMBERFUL.
Hops are a nutrient which are used a lot to brew beer. There’s a belief that it may help promote your sleep.
One study out there shows that subjects who drank alcohol-free beer before going to bed had a more effective night’s sleep than usual.
The only problem in this study is that we can’t fully pin it on the hops, so you may not get the same effects when supplementing them. However, it does make it look very promising.
More research is needed though.
GABA
This is a naturally occurring hormone in your body that can help to promote relaxation.
But does it work as a supplement in IGUAZU Nutrition SLUMBERFUL?
It’s unclear. Studies show that supplementing GABA directly doesn’t always work.
The problem is that it struggles to cross your blood-brain barrier. If it can’t make it over to your brain, it’s not going to have any impact at all.
The GABA that you’re already getting from the L-Theanine should still help you though.
Melatonin
This is a great addition in IGUAZU Nutrition SLUMBERFUL.
Melatonin is your body’s naturally occuring hormone to regualte your sleep.
It can also help in numerous other ways. Studies show it’s good for your eye health, heart, gut, immune system and numerous other body parts and functions.
However, we’re concerned if whether or not the Melatonin in here is natural.
There are a lot of supplements out there that use synthetic Melatonin. This isn’t always your best option. Natural Melatonin is more potent and effective and is typically found in foods like Tart Cherries and Radishes.
Nutrient Profile Overview:
On the whole, IGUAZU Nutrition SLUMBERFUL has some good ingredients but it’s not the best sleep aid that we have come across on the market.
We love the L-Theanine, Melatonin and Magnesium – but we feel like the rest are more for your mindset rather than directly sedating you.
What could be added to IGUAZU Nutrition SLUMBERFUL?
L-Tryptophan, and replacing the Melatonin with Tart Cherries would work well.
For example, L-Tryptophan is an amino acid that your body converts into a lot of serotonin. In doing so, your body can use this as a precursor to create natural melatonin. This is great for promoting sleep.
And as we’ve already mentioned, Tart Cherries are full of natural melatonin. Supplementing these can help improve your own levels of melatonin and help you to get to sleep quicker.
It’s a shame more ingredients like this aren’t added into this supplement.
IGUAZU Nutrition SLUMBERFUL Side Effects – Are there any?
Not that we have noticed, all the ingredients in here will not cause problems at these dosages.
We haven’t seen any credible reports of IGUAZU Nutrition SLUMBERFUL causing side effects either.
You should be fine.
The only thing we would say is that we can’t speak for everyone. If you’re concerned, we suggest you speak to your doctor before using this supplement.
