What does Six Star Pre Workout Explosion do?
This is our Six Star Pre Workout Explosion review, a pre workout with claims to promote:
- Power Output
- Muscle Pumps
But how well will it work for you?
In this review, we look closer at this testosterone booster to see how effective it really is.
This is what we’ve found:
What you need to know about the Six Star Pre Workout Explosion ingredients:
Not all the dosages in this supplement are disclosed. They are under a proprietary blend.
Is this a problem?
It means you don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting or how effective it is.
A proprietary blend is when a supplement manufacturer groups numerous ingredients under the same dosage. It makes it difficult to work out how effective it is.
Not only that, we think a few improvements could be made.
Below, we have our write up of the main ingredients in Six Star Pre Workout Explosion along with our summary and suggestions on how to improve it.
This is what you need to know:
This is an okay start to Six Star Pre Workout Explosion. Beta Alanine does has some advantages, but it may also cause mild side effects too.
So, how can Beta Alanine help you?
It’s an amino acid which can help improve buffering of the acid in your muscles. This can help with performance and endurance.
It’s good for working out. We’ll talk more about the side effects associated with it later.
This is a better addition to Six Star Pre Workout Explosion.
Creatine is an amino acid that can help to promote your overall levels of ATP. ATP is a resource in your body that your muscles use for energy.
The more ATP you have in your system, the more support your muscles have for performance. This can help improve endurance, energy, power output and focus while you are training.
It’s a great addition to this supplement.
This however is not a good ingredient in Six Star Pre Workout Explosion.
L-Arginine is an amino acid which has claims to promote blood flow, endurance and muscle pumps.
However, although it can do this, it’s only possible under certain circumstances.
It may not work by being orally supplemented. Studies show it may be too hard for your body to absorb. This means you may not get the benefit from taking it in here.
Ideally, what you need is a precursor to L-Arginine that converts into it after your body absorbs it. L-Citrulline would be a much better choice, and it is in this supplement – however, we’ll talk more about that later.
This is one of the better ingredients in Six Star Pre Workout Explosion.
Caffeine is arguably one of the best stimulants on the market. You already know it can help your energy levels, so what else can it do?
Studies show that Caffeine can help to promote your body’s overall metabolism, energy, power output and focus. This makes it great for working out in the gym, and also for trimming down your waistline.
We’re glad to see it in here.
This is a good addition to Six Star Pre Workout Explosion as it can help improve focus.
After your body absorbs Choline it can help to support the learing neurotransmitter in your brain. This can help improve your memory, focus and attention span.
It can help by making you more motivated and driven while training.
This is another good choice in Six Star Pre Workout Explosion.
It doens’t help performance, but it can help in other ways while you’re training.
L-Tyrosine is an anti-stressor amino acid. It can help to reduce your levels of the stress hormone cortisol.
This is important as cortisol can make you feel more stress, anxious and generally uneasy. By reducing it, you can be more calm and concentrate on your gym session.
It is an effective addition here.
This is more of a supporting ingredient in Six Star Pre Workout Explosion.
Taurine is an amino acid which can help promote your overall blood flow and nutrient flow. This can help your body to get more out of the ingredients in this supplement and absorb them at a faster rate.
The final ingredient in Six Star Pre Workout Explosion.
L-Citrulline is an amino acid which turns into L-Arginine after being absorbed. This can help promote blood flow, muscle pumps and your overall endurance.
It’s a great ingredient. Our only concern is the dosage. Studies show that for this to work for performance, you need a lot of it.
You’re suggested to take between 6000 – 8000mg per serving. With this being part of a 500mg proprietary blend, you’re unlikely to get that much.
It needs to have a higher dosage to work for you here.
Nutrient Profile Overview:
On the whole, Six Star Pre Workout Explosion doesn’t have the best ingredients that we’ve seen in a pre workout.
Don’t get us wrong, we like the Creatine, Caffeine, Choline, L-Tyrosine and Citrulline – however, that proprietary blend is a problem.
You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting, so how can you know how effective it is overall?
It’s very difficult. Not only that, it shows us that some of the ingredients in here are under dosed. There’s also a side effect risk with the Beta Alanine, albeit a minor one.
What ingredients could help improve Six Star Pre Workout Explosion?
Ingredients like L-Carnitine, Red Beet, Coconut Water and L-Theanine would all work well here.
For example, L-Carnitine is a great amino acid that can help to promote your overall levels of energy, metabolsim and focus. It’s a good stimulant-performance enhancer.
Whereas Red Beet could help to support the Citrulline in here. It helps with producing more blood plasma nitrate which can help with blood flow and endurance.
Coconut water would be a good idea too in Six Star Pre Workout Explosion. It can help restore your body’s electrolytes which can improve muscle responses in the gym.
L-Theanine is an amino acid that promotes the relaxation hormones in your body. It can reduce the jitters associated with caffeine and improve your overall focus.
It would be better if more ingredients like this were added to this supplement.
Six Star Pre Workout Explosion Side Effects – Are there any?
Your main risk here is the Beta Alanine. But it isn’t a dangerous side effect associated with this nutrient.
Beta Alanine has been seen in some cases to cause paresthesia. This is a condition which causes an itching in both your hands and face.
It’s not dangerous, but it can be incredibly distracting while working out. Ideally, you don’t want to experience this while training.
Can You Take 2 servings of Six Star Pre Workout Explosion at once?
You should always be cautious when doing this, however we think it should be okay. As long as you can stand the effects of the Beta Alanine that is.
The Caffeine dosage in here is 135mg. Doubling it makes that 270mg. This is still less than our maximum recommended dosage of 300mg. After you go past 300mg we think you may encounter side effects.
You should be fine, however, if you don’t have a good tolerance for caffeine, we do not advise doubling up. Speak to your doctor before considering it, and work your way up to 2 servings a day.
