What does RSP Nutrition Pump Boost do?
This is our RSP Nutrition Pump Boost review, a pre workout with claims to promote:
- Muscle Pumps
But how well will it work for you?
In this review, we look closer at this supplement to see how effective it really is.
This is what we found…
What you need to know about the RSP Nutrition Pump Boost ingredients:
There’s only a handful of ingredients in here, to the point that RSP suggest you can combine it with another pre workout.
If you’re using this as a stand-alone supplement, more could definitely be added to improve it.
Below, we have our write up of the RSP Nutrition Pump Boost ingredients, along with our summary and suggestions on how to improve it.
This is what you need to know:
This is a good option in RSP Nutrition Pump Boost. L-Citrulline is an amino acid which is great for muscle pumps, endurance and blood flow.
But why does it work so well?
It comes down to how this amino works in your body. After you absorb it, your body converts it into L-Arginine. This can help promote your overall levels of nitric oxide.
High levels of nitric oxide can improve blood flow to your muscles. This can make them more responsive and gives them a much bigger pump in the gym. Not only that, it can help your endurance in the gym too.
It’s a good ingredient here. The only thing we would say is that there’s only a small amount in here. With only 2500mg of Citrulline in RSP Nutrition Pump Boost, it may not be enough for you to get the full benefit.
Studies suggest you want between 6000 – 8000mg per serving to get the full effects.
It would be better if there was more in here.
It is used to hydrate the body, improve endurance, and increase muscular pumps during physical activity. Glanbia Nutritionals discovered and trademarked HydroMax glycerol, which is the most concentrated and pure powdered glycerol on the market (65% glycerol and 35% silica by weight).
This is potentially a good addition to RSP Nutrition Pump Boost.
Glycerol can help in numerous ways. The main benefit it has is tht it can help enudrance and muscle pumps.
However, it is not as potent as Citrulline. Not only that, a handful of reports claim that they have experienced side effects supplementing Glycerol.
We’ll cover that in more detail later.
This is a good option in RSP Nutrition Pump Boost.
Coconut Water is an ingredient which can help you in numerous ways. It’s full of minerals which can help electrolytes.
It contains a good amount of Magnesium, Calcium, Sodium and Glucose. This can help replenish your electrolytes to help you perform at full power in the gym.
Nutrient Profile Overview:
On the whole, these aren’t the best ingredients that we have seen in a pre workout.
Having said that, due to the lack of Caffeine you could always combine this with another pre workout – but then you need 2 pre workouts to get the full effects.
The Citrulline in here is definitely under dosed, but it is still a good ingredient. We like the Coconut Water in here as well.
What ingredients could help improve RSP Nutrition Pump Boost?
The main ingredients that could help here are Creatine, L-Carnitine, Red Beets, L-Theanine, and Rhodiola Rosea. These keep it stimulant-free but a lot more effective.
For example, Creatine is a great choice. It’s a component that your body uses to help create ATP. ATP is resource in your body that your muscles use for energy. This can help improve your overall strength, endurance, focus and general energy levels.
It would be great in here.
Whereas L-Carnitine is a stimulant free energy booster. It’s an amino acid your body can use to improve your overall levels of energy and metabolism which can keep you training for longer.
L-Theanine would be another good addition to RSP Nutrition Pump Boost, it helps to promote the relaxation hormones in your body. This can help relaxation hormones in your body like Dopamine, Serotonin and GABA. It can help your focus in the gym.
Red Beets would support the Citrulline already in here. They can help promote your body’s overall levels of blood plasma nitrate. This can improve your overall blood flow, which can help with performance and muscle pumps.
Finally, Rhodiola Rosea would be good for mood and motivation. It can help reduce feelings of depression and fatigue, while promoting feelings of well-being. Another nutrient that would work well in RSP Nutrition Pump Boost.
It’s a shame more ingredients like this aren’t in this supplement.
RSP Nutrition Pump Boost Side Effects – Are there any?
You should have some slight concerns with Glycerol.
Not many side effects have been reported from using it, but in some cases it has been known to cause headaches, dizziness, bloating, nausea, vomiting, thirst and diarrhea.
It’s unlikely to have this effect on you, as most people find it safe to use. However, you should be aware that this can happen.
If you have any concerns, you should speak to your doctor before using it.
Can I take two servings of RSP Nutrition Pump Boost at once?
As it is stimulant free, you shouldn’t have any problems.
RSP Nutrition actually suggest combining it with a pre workout you already have to give it an extra boost. Which should be fine too.
As long as the Glycerol doesn’t bother you, you should be able to up the dosage on this one. Again, you should increase at small dosages first though.
