What does FSN Nutrition Torched do?
This is our FSN Nutrition Torched review, a pre workout with claims to promote:
- Power Output
But how well will it work for you?
In this review, we look closer at this supplement to see how well it work for you.
This is what we’ve found:
What you need to know about the FSN Nutrition Torched ingredients:
There are some good nutrients in here, but it isn’t the best pre workout we’ve seen.
Our main issue is the potential side effects associated with some of the ingredients in here. Mainly the Yohimbe.
Aside from that, there are effective good options in here. However we do think improvements could be made.
Below, we go into more detail about the ingredients in this FSN Nutrition Torched. We follow up our summary and suggestions on how to improve it.
This is what you need to know:
This isn’t the best start to FSN Nutrition Torched. Although it does have some benefits.
Beta Alanine is an amino acid which can help buffer the acid in your muscles which can help promote your overall endurance and performance.
However, it does have some links to causing side effects. We’ll cover that in more detail later.
This isn’t a great choice in FSN Nutrition Torched. Arginine is an amino acid which has claims to promote blood flow, nitric oxide and muscle pumps. Although it does work, it does not work as a supplement.
Why? Because your body doesn’t effectively absorb it from oral supplementation.
For it to work, you need a precursor to L-Arginine in your system that will turn into after being absorbed. Citrulline would be the best option for this, and we’re glad it’s in here.
Citrulline Malate (1500mg)
This is a much better option in FSN Nutrition Torched, but we’re a little concerned about the dosage.
Citrulline Malate is a great amino acid. It’s easy for your body to absorb and turn into L-Arginine.
This is great for promoting your overall blood flow, endurance and muscle pumps. It can make you a lot more effective in the gym.
The main thing you need to know is that you need a lot for it to work. Studies show you need 6000 – 8000mg per serving to get the most benefit.
However, with only 1500mg you may not get enough here for the best results.
This is a great addition to FSN Nutrition Torched. L-Carnitine is a strong amino acid.
It can help you by promoting your overall levels of energy, metabolism and focus.
There’s a good amount in here, too. Studies suggest you need between 500 – 2500mg per serving to get the most out of this supplement.
It’s good to see in here as a stimulant-free energy booster.
This is an effective choice in FSN Nutrition Torched too.
Mucuna Pruriens is also known as Velvet Bean. It’s great for promoting feel good hormones in your body like dopamine and serotonin.
This can help to reduce your overall levels of cortisol – which is your body’s stress hormone. When your stress hormones are higher it’s harder for you to focus and generally feel calm.
By using something like Mucuna Pruriens, you can reduce your cortisol and improve your overall concentration and focus.
This isn’t a performance enhancer in FSN Nutrition Torched, but it can help you in other ways.
So, how can Taurine help you?
It’s an amino acid that can help improve blood and nutrient flow. This can help you get more out of the ingredients in this supplement and absorb faster into your system.
Caffeine Anhydrous (250mg)
A fantastic option in this pre workout – Caffeine a great option in this supplement.
You already know how well it works for energy, but what else can it do for you?
Caffeine can help to improve your energy levels, focus, metabolism and power output. This makes it good for both cutting calories, but also for improving performance in the gym.
We’re glad to see in it in this supplement.
More of a support in FSN Nutrition Torched, but it can help you here.
Theobromine is an amino acid which has links to promoting blood flow. This, much like Taurine, can help with nutrient flow and absorb more of what’s int this product.
This however, may not be an effective choice in Torched.
Yohimbe is a form of tree bark which can help to promote appetite suppression. However, it also has links to causing side effects.
We’ll go into more detail about what these side effects are later on.
Nutrient Profile Overview:
On the whole, FSN Nutrition Torched doesn’t have the best ingredients that we have seen in a pre workout.
Don’t get us wrong, we like the Citrulline, L-Carnitine, Mucuna Pruriens and Caffeine. However, we feel more could be added to help improve this supplement.
What could help improve FSN Nutrition Torched?
Ingredients like Coconut Water, Red Beets, L-Theanine and Rhodiola Rosea would all work well in this supplement.
Coconut Water would be a good addition here as it is full of minerals which support electrolytes. This can help improve signals to your muscles.
Whereas Red Beets can promote plasma nitrate in your blood. This can help with blood flow and endurance.
L-Theanine would be great for the caffeine in this supplement. It can help reduce the jitters associated with the stimulant while promoting your overall levels of the relaxation hormones dopamine and serotonin. This can help you be more focused and collected during a session.
Finally, Rhodiola Rosea would help too. It’s a scandinavian herb which can help reduce symptoms of fatigue and depression. In doing so it can help you stay more motivated while training in the gym.
It would be better if more ingredients like this were in this supplement.
Side Effects – Are there any?
Your main concerns here should be with the Yohimbe and the Beta Alanine.
Yohimbe, although it can work to some degree as an appetite suppressant – it can cause problems.
Some symptoms reported with Yohimbe include:
- Gastrointestinal Distress
Whereas Beta Alanine can cause paresthesia, which is an itching in both the hands face. It’s not harmful but it can be incredibly distracting.
Combined, they’re not things you want to experience while training.
Can I take two servings at once?
We wouldn’t recommend it. There’s a lot of caffeine in here already. With 250mg of Caffeine per dosage, it’s close to our recommended limit of 300mg.
Going over this may cause side effects and doubling up would give you 500mg of caffeine per serving. This is far too much.
You should use the product as directed.

FSN Nutrition Torched Review Summary – Is it effective?
Overall, this isn’t the best pre workout we have come across on the market.
From our FSN Nutrition Torched review, this is what you need to know:
- Under Dosed in Places – Citrulline doses could be higher in here.
- Potential Side Effects – Yohimbe and Beta Alanine are linked to causing problems.
- Missing Core Nutrients – More study backed performance enhancers could be added to this supplement.
As you can see, this isn’t the best option that we would recommend adding to your stack.
