What does Kaged Muscle RE-KAGED do?
This is our Kaged Muscle RE-KAGED review, a post workout supplement with claims to promote:
- Muscle Mass
- Energy
- Recovery
- Strength
But how well will it work for you?
In this review, we look closer at this supplement to see how effective it really is.
What you need to know about the Kaged Muscle RE-KAGED ingredients:
There are some good ingredients in here, quite a few of the ingredients in here will effectively help with recovery.
However, we think more can be added. For example, there’s no angle in this supplement which helps tackle electrolyte boosting. And some ingredients in here don’t have the studies to back up their claims.
Below, we give you our write up of the main ingredients in Kaged Muscle RE-KAGED, along with our summary and suggestions on how to improve it.
This is what you need to know:
Whey Protein
You’re already aware of the Whey Protein in Kaged Muscle RE-KAGED.
It’s a dairy based, high protein content powder that your muscles can use as building blocks to restore themselves after a workout.
A nice support, but this is something you can get anywhere. It’s the other ingredients that you want to be effective to make this product worth your money.
L-Glutamine
This isn’t a strong choice in Kaged Muscle RE-KAGED.
So, what does it do?
L-Glutamine is an amino acid that you’ll find a lot of in most standard diets. However, the only benefit it really has is supplying your immune system and intestines with energy.
This is good – but it’s a background process and doesn’t do much for your muscles. You do lose some L-Glutamine from exercise so it is good that it’s in this supplement to help restore it.
Some manufacturers claim that L-Glutamine can help promote muscle mass. However, this is only in extreme cases.
L-Glutamine helps promote muscle mass if you’re injured or suffering from a disease. Studies show that L-Glutamine can help promote muscle mass in victims with stab wounds and burns, and it’s only around the affected area. It can also help those with muscle wastage diseases like AIDS and can help them hold on to more muscle.
The same does not apply to a workout. You’re not going to get much benefit.
Betaine Anhydrous
This is a component that comes from Beetroot. It’s a nice support in Kaged Muscle RE-KAGED, and should help with recovery.
Betaine is good for boosting the plasma nitrate in your blood stream. This helps with endurance along with blood and nutrient flow.
By improving the flow of blood and nutrients, you can can get more aid to your muscles after a workout and start the recovery process much faster.
It’s a good addition to this supplement.
Creatine HCl
A much better and stronger ingredient in Kaged Muscle RE-KAGED.
Creatine is an amino acid which can help to restore your ATP levels that deplete after a workout.
ATP is a component in your body that your muscles use as an energy resource. It determines protein synthesis (how effectively your body uses protein), energy for your muscles, how fast they recover, and muscle growth.
You want to keep this fueled as highly as possible, and supplementing Creatine can help you to do that.
We’re glad to see it in this supplement.
Prohydrolase (Digestive Enzyme Blend)
This is more of a supporting ingredient in Kaged Muscle RE-KAGED which helps with the overall absorption of the whey protein.
It’s a nice support and may help you to get more out of this supplement.
Nutrient Profile Overview:
On the whole, Kaged Muscle RE-KAGED doesn’t have the best ingredients that we’ve seen in a post workout.
We like the creatine, but a lot of the other ingredients seem to only offer a mild support.
It would help if there was more added to this supplement.
What would help improve Kaged Muscle RE-KAGED?
The main three ingredients that would help recovery a lot would be Coconut Water, Himalayan Salt and Pomegranate Extract.
For example, Coconut Water is packed full of electrolytes. It contains a great profile of sodium, magnesium, potassium and calcium. It also has a small amount of glucose to give you that extra lift. This can help you feel less sore and restrengthen connections to your muscles to make them less stiff.
Studies show that supplementing Coconut Water has the same effects of an effective isotonic sports drink. The only difference is the Coconut Water is completely natural and doesn’t have the artificial additives.
Whereas Himalayan Salt contains similar electrolytes but can also help with absorption to allow you to get more out of what you consume after your workout.
Finally, Pomegranate is an anti inflammatory. Studies show that it can help to reduce oxidative stress on your muscles, which can reduce soreness and overall damage after a workout. Not only that, by reducing inflammation, more blood and nutrients can pass through, which can help nourish your muscles at a faster more effective rate.
It’s a shame no more ingredients like this have been added to this supplement.
Kaged Muscle RE-KAGED Side Effects – Are there any?
It’s unlikely. All the ingredients in here are completely natural and don’t have links to causing side effects.
However, if you have a condition like lactose intolerance the Whey Protein in here may be an issue.
And as always, we can’t speak for everyone. Everyone’s body is different. If you have concerns, you should speak to your doctor before using this supplement.
