What does this Nootropic do?
In this review, we’re looking at Good Lyfe MINDSET. This is a nootropic on the market with claims to promote:
In this review, we look closer at this nootropic to see how effective it really is.
This is what we’ve found…
What do you need to know about the Good Lyfe MINDSET ingredients?
They’re mainly good. There’s a lot in here we like, a good choice of mood and cognitive boosters.
However, there are a few changes we would make. Some of the ingredients in here have the potential to cause side effects, while others may not be backed by enough studies.
Below, we look at the ingredients in Good Lyfe MINDSET, along with our ‘Nutrient Overview’ and suggestions on how to improve it.
This is what you need to know:
This is a good start to Good Lyfe MINDSET. Lion’s Mane is a specific type of mushroom which is good for cognition.
Studies show that Yamabushitake, when supplemented can help promote cognition and even suggests that it may help with mood balance.
It can also work by reducing inflammation in your body, which can help with nutrient absorption and how fast this supplement takes to work.
This is a good addition to this supplement.
Another great option in Good Lyfe MINDSET – we love L-Theanine.
L-Theanine is an amino acid that your body uses to promote relaxation and ‘feel good’ hormones in your brain like dopamine, serotonin and GABA.
This can help you to become more relaxed and focused. In doing so, it’s easier for you to concentrate for longer periods of time throughout the day.
This isn’t as effective in Good Lyfe MINDSET, but it can still help in other ways.
Used for a component in it known as Avena Sativa, Oat Straw is can help reduce inflammation and increase your circulation.
This can help increase how much you absorb of the nutrients in this supplement, and can help increase their effectiveness.
Another effective ingredient in Good Lyfe MINDSET.
It’s a Scandinavian herb which can help to improve your mood and motivation.
Studies show that it can help reduce fatigue, and feelings of depression, while helping mood and well-being.
This is good for keeping you motivated throughout the day.
This isn’t much of a cognitive enhancer in Good Lyfe MINDSET, but it can help in other ways.
Studies show that it can help to some degree with focus and cognition, but the main way that it can help you is with power output.
Research suggests that supplementing Alpha GPC can help make you stronger in the gym. This could help with exercise or with giving you more energy to push through the day.
It’s a good support in this supplement.
This is a great addition to Good Lyfe MINDSET. Phosphatidylserine is one of our favorite nootropics.
Studies show it has four main benefits when it comes to promoting cognition. It can help with mood, memory, focus and preventing cognitive decline.
We’re glad to see it in here.
This however, is not a strong choice in Good Lyfe MINDSET.
DMAE is a nutrient which was originally used in the beauty industry. It’s main use is to decrease the appearence of wrinkles.
It’s thought to help prevent cognitive decline when supplemented. However, studies show this may not be the case. Not only that, it may cause side effects. We’ll go into more detail on that later.
This ingredient does have it’s advantage, but Caffeine really isn’t the best choice for a nootropic.
In our opinion, we think Caffeine can do more harm than good in a nootropic. Sure, it can help to boost your energy levels and focus – but the effects are short-term.
Once they wear off, you can be left with an energy crash. This can leave you feeling drowsy and sluggish. Which is not good for mental performance.
Although, we should mention that Good Lyfe MINDSET contains L-Theanine, which can help to reduce the explosiveness of caffeine and give it a longer, gradual effect – which could help reduce the crash.
However, there is still a risk of this happening.
This is not a great option in Good Lyfe MINDSET.
Gingko Biloba has claims to helping promote cognition and focus, however, studies show different results.
In some cases it has been seen to help promote focus and cognition, whereas in other cases it doesn’t have much effect at all.
With such contrasting evidence, some researchers now believe the effects of this nutrient may be placebo.
More studies definitely need to be carried out, but at the moment it doesn’t look positive.
This isn’t a great option in Good Lyfe MINDSET. Huperzine A comes from clubmoss, and is believed to help promote cognition.
Although it does help focus to some degree, the results appear to be short term. Your body builds a tolerance to it quickly, which means the more you use it, the less effect it will have.
Not only that, some researchers believe it may cause side effects. But there’s not enough proof to confirm this.
Nutrient Profile Overview:
We like a lot of the ingredients in Good Lyfe MINDSET. However, we do think improvements could be made.
We like the Lion’s Mane, L-Theanine, Rhodiola, and Phosphatidylserine. However, we believe the DMAE could be a risk, and the Caffeine could cause problems.
What ingredients would help improve this nootropic?
The main ingredients that we think would help here are L-Tyrosine, Choline, Bacopa Monnieri, and Maritime Pine Bark.
For example, L-Tyrosine is an anti-stressor amino acid. Supplementing it can help reduce your levels of the stress hormone cortisol. This can make it easier to focus and concentrate.
Whereas Choline can help support the learning neurotransmitters in your brain. This can help support memory, focus and attention span, which is all great for mental performance.
Bacopa Monnieri is good too. There’s a lot of studies which show it can help promote memory formations and also help to reduce anxiety. It would be good to have here to keep you calm and collected throughout the day.
It would be better if there were more ingredients like this in this nootropic.
Are there any side effects in Good Lyfe MINDSET?
Your main concern with side effects is with the DMAE. It’s largely untested in humans, and has caused birth defects in rats.
This is concerning. There’s potential for it to have the same effect in humans. The fact that it is largely unstudied isn’t good either.
If you’re trying for a baby or pregnant, you should avoid this supplement. The same goes for males who are trying for a baby. You need to reduce any potential risk.

Good Lyfe MINDSET Review Summary – Is it effective?
Overall, this is a supplement with some good ingredients, however, it isn’t the best that we have come across.
From our review, this is what you need to know about MINDSET:
- Potential Side Effects – DMAE may cause problems.
- Some Ineffective Ingredients – Some of the ingredients in here don’t have the studies to support them.
- Missing Core Nutrients – More study backed ingredients could be added to this supplement.
As you can see, this isn’t the best nootropic that we would recommend adding to your stack.
