What does Invictus Labs Neuro Plus do?
This is our Invictus Labs Neuro Plus review, a nootropic with claims to promote:
But how well will it work for you?
In this review, we look closer at this supplement to see how effective it really is.
This is what we’ve found…
What you need to know about the Invictus Labs Neuro Plus ingredients:
The main ingredients are in a proprietary blend. This isn’t a good sign.
A proprietary blend is when a supplement manufacturer chooses to hide the dosages of the main ingredients in their supplement.
Instead, multiple ingredients are grouped together under one larger dosage.
This means you don’t know how much you’re getting or how effective it really is.
Not only that, there’s potential side effects that may be linked to this supplement.
But it’s not all bad, there are some good ingredients in here. Below, we have a write up of the main ingredients, along with a full summary and suggestions on how it could be improved.
This is what you need to know:
This isn’t a great ingredient in Invictus Labs Neuro Plus.
DMAE is a nutrient which was typically used in beauty creams to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Soon after, it started to be added to nootropics. The belief is that it can help reduce cognitive decline.
However, studies show it doesn’t have much of an effect. Not only that, it may also cause side effects.
We’ll go into more detail about what these side effects are later on.
This isn’t a good option in Invictus Labs Neuro Plus either.
It’s not bad for you, it just won’t have much of an effect.
Studies show that Glutamine can help reduce sugar cravings. However, this is only if you have a deficiency in it. On top of that, Glutamine is in most foods that make up a standard diet.
You’re unlikely to get much benefit out of this nutrient.
This is a much better option in Invictus Labs Neuro Plus. Green Tea contains a trace amount of L-Theanine which could help out here.
L-Theanine is an amino acid which has links to increasing relaxation hormones in your brain like serotonin, dopamine and GABA.
This helps to increase your overall concentration, relaxation and promotes a sharper mind to help you get more done throughout the day.
Not only that, Green Tea can help with fat loss to some extent.
This is a good addition to Invictus Labs Neuro Plus. Bacopa is actually one of our favorite nootropics.
Why do we like it so much? Because there’s a lot of evidence that shows it works.
So, what does it do? Bacopa Monnieri is a herb which studies show can help promote memory formations while also reducing anxiety.
It’s a great nutrient for keeping you calm and collected during a busy day.
This is a nutrient which is also great for cognition in Invictus Labs Neuro Plus.
So, what makes it so effective?
Once your body absorbs Choline, it is used by your brain to help strengthen connections in your learning neurotransmitters.
This can help improve your overall levels of concentration which can help you be more productive in the day.
This isn’t a nootropic in Invictus Labs Neuro Plus, but it can help in other ways.
Inositol is a good option in this supplement as it can help reduce inflammation and improve blood flow.
This is good for improving overall absorption and allow more of this supplement to get into your system at a much faster rate.
It’s a nice support in here.
This is good amino acid in Invictus Labs Neuro Plus. L-Tyrosine is a great addition for reducing stress.
Studies show that it can help reduce your overall levels of the stress hormone cortisol.
The higher your cortisol levels, the harder it is for you to concentrate, focus and generally feel at ease.
By reducing your cortisol, you’re less stressed and can focus more on the task at hand.
This is a naturally occuring hormone in your body, but is it good in Invictus Labs Neuro Plus?
It might not be. Although GABA is great for improving relaxation and focus, it’s hard to absorb orally.
It’s difficult for it to cross your blood-brain barrier so it can work.
You might not get much benefit out of it.
This isn’t much of a cognitive enhancer in Invictus Labs Neuro Plus, but it does have other advantages.
So, what can it do for you?
Studies show that it can help improve your overall blood and nutrient flow. This can help you to absorb more of the nutrients in this stack.
It’s a nice touch in this supplement.
This is a good mineral in Invictus Labs Neuro Plus.
Boron has studies which show that it can increase feelings of well being and also improve cognition.
It’s a good choice for helping mood and focus. We’re happy to see it in this supplement.
This however, is a very effective option in Invictus Labs Neuro Plus.
Phosphatidylserine is a nootropic with lot of studies behind it, and is known for being pretty reliable.
It has four main benefits: mood, memory, focus and preventing cognitive decline. A lot of what you want from a nootropic.
It’s a big help in this supplement.
Nutrient Profile Overview:
On the whole, Invictus Labs Neuro Plus doesn’t have the best ingredients that we have seen in a nootropic.
The first problem is that it’s a proprietary blend. You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting, so how can you know how effective it really is overall?
Not only that, there’s also potential side effects from the DMAE that we’ll cover later.
Don’t get us wrong, we like the Green Tea, Bacopa, Choline, Tyrosine, and Phosphatidylserine in this supplement – but we think more could be added to improve it’s effectiveness.
A dedicated amount of L-Theanine would help, rather than what’s just in the Green Tea. Also Lion’s Mane, Maritime Pine Bark, CDP Choline and Vinpocetine would help here too.
It’s a shame these haven’t been added to Invictus Labs Neuro Plus.
Invictus Labs Neuro Plus Side Effects – Are there any?
Your main concern here is the DMAE.
Studies show that supplementing this nutrient can cause birth defects in mice. As this ingredient is largerly untested in humans, there’s a chance it could scale up to affect you too.
If you’re a pregnant mother, or trying for a baby, we suggest you avoid this supplement.
DMAE is still being researched in humans when it comes to oral consumption. We advise against using it until more findings are released.
If you are concerned, you should speak to your doctor before using it.
