It’s that time again, when we take a look back at what happen this week on Muxcle.com along with a brief look into what’s happening in the fitness community online.
What Happened on Muxcle.com this week?
It’s been a busy week, here at Muxcle HQ, this is what’s been going down…
Why wasn’t this update out on Monday?!
I know, I know, it’s late – I’ve been getting your emails. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes at Muxcle.com that we’re pretty excited about, but we can’t really talk about it yet. There’s a lot of content we’re still to do before we can put it all in place.
Unfortunately however, it’s a lot of work. Meaning other things like this awesome update fall behind schedule, which is why this one is out on a Thursday, and not a Monday.
In future, we’re going to keep these updates weekly, but we’re not going to pin down a day.
In other words we want to keep doing these updates, but due to the amount of work we’re doing they’ll only be coming out when we have the time. Still every week, just maybe not on Mondays.
Now that’s out of the way let’s get down to the content:
Upcoming Article: Worst Fat Burner Ingredients
This is a big one, and an article that we’ve been meaning to publish for a while. Fat burners are a huge market, and unfortunately a lot of what manufacturers are using out there is not that effective.
There’s quite a few commonly used nutrients in fat burners that don’t do much of anything. At most they have a favorable rat study, which doesn’t mean much, but gives them enough to justify advertising the ingredient as an effective option. If there’s no human study out there, chances are it’s not going to do much for you.
There’s a lot of ingredients like this and we’re currently compiling the research to put it all together and let you know the worst offenders.
It’ll be in a similar vain to our ‘Worst Ever Testosterone Booster Ingredients‘ article. Heavy, researched and referenced content that you can use to inform yourself when looking for a good supplement.
Should be an interesting read for you guys.
Any new reviews this week?
This is another thing that we’ve been meaning to get done. We get so many requests to review on a weekly basis, and keeping track of them all is tough.
This week, Rhonda and I have been putting some time aside to clear a few off the list.
Here’s what we have:
- TESTOXZEN by GX8 Labs – Testosterone Booster Review by Doug
- T5X Extreme by Muscle Force – Testosterone Booster Review by Doug
- KETO BURNER by AddNatural – Fat Burner by Rhonda
All big reviews, and all requested by you. We’re seeing a big rise in the ‘Keto’ supplements at the moment so expect to see more of that.
As a side note, a lot of these Keto supplements appear to be just fat burners with the name ‘Keto’ added to them. This is a fad at the moment that you should be aware of. Only a few fat burners out there appear to be tailored to the Keto diet – a lot seem to be looking to just cash in on the trend.
On another note, there seems to be a deal going on at the moment regarding the fat burner Sweat by Wellthy. A lot of you guys have been emailing in asking us about it, and how it stacks up compared to the top 3 that we recommend for women.
You don’t always have to email us, you can leave comments on the articles, that way when we answer everyone can see it and it can help a lot more people thinking the same questions.
Regardless, Rhonda’s been hard at work and has written a comparison review of Hourglass VS Wellthy Sweat. You can read that below:
- Wellthy Sweat VS Hourglass – Fat Burner Comparison by Rhonda
She’ll be doing another of it against LeanBean soon too.
Online Fitness Communities: Highlights of the Week
Here’s what’s we’ve been enjoying in the fitness community this week that we think you might be interested in.
Take a look:
Great Mindset from r/LoseIt: Treat Yourself Like a Child
One of the better posts that we saw this week came from Reddit’s r/LoseIt, which is a discussion group that encourage and help one another with weight loss.
It’s quite a motivating place and I highly recommend you check it out if you’re struggling with weight loss.
The post by u/queenofstickers that we saw had a really interesting angle when it came to discipline for weight loss: treat impulsive desires like a child.
Here’s an excerpt from their post which explains it pretty well:
Whenever I want to mindlessly snack, or not work out, or not take my vitamins, I pretend it’s Little Me™️ asking for permission.
“Can we have McDonalds for dinner?” No, Little Me, we have food at home.
“Can I pleaseeeee go back to sleep?” No, Little Me, it’s time to get up. Let’s go.
“What if I just had ONE cookie?” No, Little Me, sweets are bad for you – do you want a banana?

It makes a lot of sense, and easier for you to stop yourself in the middle of a decision which could affect your goals and silence them. We’ve got a lot of respect for that, and stopping and thinking to challenge your urges is a really good idea for getting stuff done.
It’s an interesting read and you can see it all in the link below:

Again, it’s a short update, but thanks for bearing with us. We’re still working hard on the site. If there’s any discussion you want to get going, get talking in the comments below.
That’s all for now, see you next week!
– Doug
