Intro: What is this supplement claimed to do?
This is our Trans4orm review, which is a fat burner from the supplement company EVLution.
It has claims to promote:
- Fat Loss
EVLution Nutrition is a mainstream supplement company with their products being sold worldwide. Bodybuilding.com, Amazon.com, GNC.com, Wallmart are just some of the places we have seen it sold. However we have noticed that the Vitamin Shoppe does not sell EVLution’s products.
Just something to keep in mind.
So, how well will it work for you?
In this review, we’ll be looking at the ingredients, saftey and serving directions of Trans4orm, along with a few other questions you’ve asked us.
This is everything we’ve found.
Ingredients: What’s in EVL’s Trans4orm?
Quite a lot, EVLution has made a serious effort here to help cognition as well as fat loss with this supplement.
Unfortunately, however, it isn’t perfect. We feel by trying to appeal to two different goals they’ve spread themselves thin on the effectiveness on each.
Some of these ingredients may cause side effects, and the fat burning section could do with some improvements.
Below, we look closer at the ingredients in this supplement along with our summary and suggestions on how to improve it.
Here’s our full write up:
This is a great first ingredient to Trans4orm. Green Tea is an effective thermogenic fat burner with a few extra benefits.
So, how does it work?
Green Tea contains a special kind of antioxidant known as catechins. These catechins help to promote your body’s levels of the fat burning hormone norepinephrine.
This is important as norepinephrine is your body’s fat burning hormone. The advantage of having more of it increases the overall amount of fat you burn throughout the day, which is always good.
Green Tea also contains some L-Theanine which is an amino acid which can help promote relaxation and focus. This can help you focus for longer throughout the day.
This isn’t an ingredient which burns fat in this supplement from EVL. Choline is more of a cognitive enhancer.
Studies show that supplementing Choline can help support and strengthen the learning neurotransmitters in your brain.
In doing so, it can help with memory, concentration and focus. This is great for when you’re training in the gym and need to stay focused.
Another ingredient in EVLution Nutrition’s Trans4orm that doesn’t burn fat, but can help with your cognition.
So, what does L-Tyrosine do for you?
It’s an amino acid which studies show can help reduce your levels of the stress hormone cortisol. When your cortisol levels are high, you feel more stressed. It’s harder for you to focus and generally be productive.
By reducing your overall levels of this hormone, it can help make your mind clearer and allow you to focus more. Again, like Choline, this can help you stay motivated in the gym.
Caffeine is a good choice in Trans4orm as it helps with both workouts and fat loss. It’s the best natural stimulant on the market.
Caffeine can help promote your energy levels, but it can also help with your focus, power output and metabolism.
Supplementing it can help improve your lifts in the gym, but also boost your metabolism to make your body burn more calories throughout the day.
It’s a strong addition to this supplement.
This is nutrient that needs more research behind it before we can recommend it as a fat burner.
Coleus is a nutrient that some believe can help boost testosterone and burn fat. However, the only studies that show it to work are on obese men who are supplementing the nutrient, to some minor effects.
It’s promising, but we don’t think it’s compelling enough for us to see it as an effective option. More research is definitely needed before we can suggest that it can effectively burn fat.
This isn’t a fat burner in EVLution Nutrition’s Trans4orm, but will help to support your gym sessions.
Alpha-GPC is a nutrient that has been seen to do 2 things well: improve cognition and boost power output.
These are both very useful when it comes to training in the gym. We think this is a good thing, the harder you’re able to train in the gym, the more calories you could potentially burn and the better your fat loss.
We would prefer a few more direct fat burners in this supplement, but this is still a nice support.
This however, is not a good choice in Trans4orm. Yohimbe is a nutrient that has some advantages, but it is also known to cause side effects.
Before we get into that, what are the advatages?
It can help as an appetite suppressant. Supplementing it can help reduce your hunger levels and allow you to keep your calorie intake low throughout the day without the urge to snack.
However, side effects may outweigh this appeal. More on that in our ‘Safety Checks’ section later on.
More commonly known as Black Pepper, it’s a good supporting ingredient in this supplement.
Black Pepper won’t burn fat, but it is great for nutrient absorption. Supplementing black pepper can help increase how much you get out of the other ingredients in this product. It can also help speed up the time it takes to activate.
It’s not essential here, but it is good to have in this fat burner.
Huperzia Serrata (Huperzine A)
This isn’t the best ingredient in EVL’s Trans4orm. Huperzine A is not a fat burner, it’s another cognitive enhancer.
Huperzine A is thought to reduce cognitive decline, which can help keep your mind sharp. However, studies show that it is easy to build a tolerance to.
This means that with regular use you’re not going to get the same amount of benefits. It’s not a great long-term choice here.
There are also some reported side effects with Huperzine A that we’ll discuss later.
Overview: Nutrient Profile
Despite the hype, we have to say this isn’t the best fat burning nutrient profile we’ve come across. There some good options in here, but by trying to be a cognitive enhancer at the same time has really split the focus of the supplement.
Don’t get us wrong, there are some good ingredients. However, the only ingredients that we can see working well for fat loss are the Green Tea and the Caffeine. The other ingredients we admire in here are more for cognition. Choline and Tyrosine are good for cognition, not fat loss.
The Yohimbe and Huperzine A are also an issue too as they both could cause side effects. We’ll go into more detail on the risks with those in the next section.
First, here are our improvement notes for this supplement.
Notes: How could EVLution Nutrition improve their fat burner?
Remove the Yohimbe and Huperzine, and focus more on fat loss ingredients. Green Coffee Bean, Cayenne Pepper, Glucomannan and Chromium would all be good choices in this supplement.
Let’s look more at why these would work well.
Green Coffee Bean – Potent Thermogenic
Believe it or not, unroasted coffee beans (Green Coffee) is great for fat loss.
Why? Because it contains Chlorogenic acid. This acid helps to reduce the glucose in your liver, which your body usually uses for energy. Without it, your body has to make that energy a different way, mainly by burning your stored fat.
This allows you to burn more fat throughout the day with no extra effort.
Cayenne Pepper – Thermogenic & Appetite Suppressant
This would be another good choice in this supplement. Cayenne Pepper is an effective option because it contains can help burn fat and also reduce your appetite.
This is due to the capsaicin in this supplement – which is what gives the chili its heat. This heat increases your body’s core temperature which encourages a cool down process.
This cool down uses more calories than your body does normally, which burns extra fat which is convenient. Studies also show that Cayenne Pepper can also help to suppress your appetite which can help keep your calorie consumption low.
Glucomannan – Appetite Suppressant
This is more of a core appetite suppressant that we strongly suggest EVL use in Trans4orm. Glucomannan is a great option for improving appetite suppression.
It works because it is a fibrous complex. After you consume it, it swells in your stomach to make you feel more full than you actually are. In doing so, it can help to reduce your hunger cravings and keep you on track with your diet.
Glucomannan can also help with regulating you cholesterol levels which can help your general health.
Chromium – Regulator of Blood Sugar
This can help too, but not to the same extent of the other ingredients that we have suggested here.
Chromium helps to regulate your blood sugar and insulin levels. When your insulin levels are higher, your body tends to store more fat from the food that you eat.
By supplementing Chromium, you can help keep your insulin levels under control and your fat gains low.
Safety Checks: Are there any side effects in Trans4orm?
The main concerns in this fat burner are the Yohimbe and Huperzine A.
Let’s start with the Yohimbe. Although there is some evidence that it can help promote appetite suppression, research shows that it can cause side effects. These side effects include:
- Gastrointestinal Distress
Which is not what you want to experience while trying to burn fat.
Secondly, the Huperzine A may also be a problem. This is another ingredient which has been reported to cause issues. Some who supplement Huperzine report:
Again, this is not what you want while trying to lose the pounds.
Trans4orm’s Directions: How are the servings?
Not the best, but not the worst – there’s 2 a day.
What does this mean?
A single serving only lasts for a hours. This means its not enough to cover you for a full day. 2 a day is a better choice, but it still can’t ensure that you’ll be in ‘fat burning’ mode for the full day.
Ideally, you want a fat burner which has 3 – 4 servings a day. This gives your body a constant supply of the nutrients you need to burn fat day long.
It would be better if the directions and dosages were set up to work like this.
Other Questions: How does Trans4orm compare to Lean Mode?
When we were emailed about Trans4orm, we were also asked how it compared to Lean Mode which is another fat burner also from EVLution.
We do have a full review or Lean Mode which you can read below:
In short, Lean Mode is better in our opinion.
The main thing you need to know is that Lean Mode is caffeine free. It’s not a thermogenic energizer like Trans4orm.
Although it doesn’t have the caffeine, it doesn’t have the drawbacks with side effects like Trans4orm does.
In our mind it’s a much safer alternative.
Could you stack Trans4orm and Lean Mode Together?
You could, however we think a better option would be to use a better fat burner entirely. Trans4orm has some advantages, but there are better options out there. Whatever you stack with it isn’t going to reduce the side effect risk with this supplement.
Is this the best fat burner?
No. There’s better:
We review an endless amount of fat burners every month searching for the most effective one on the market.
We look for supplements that deliver:
- Rapid Fat Loss
- 100% Natural Ingredients
- Powerful Appetite Suppression

Review Summary: Is EVL Trans4orm effective?
Overall, this isn’t the worst fat burner that we have come across, but there are definitely issues here that need work.
Here are our main concerns with Trans4orm:
- Some Ineffective Ingredients – Not all nutrients in here promote fat loss.
- Potential Side Effects – Yohimbe and Huperzine A have both been linked to causing side effects.
- Missing Core Nutrients – More study supported fat burners would help here.
- Servings Could Be Better – Two a day may not be enough for maximum fat loss.
As you can see, this isn’t the best fat burner out there that we would suggest adding to your stack.
